There is currently no cure and severe underfunding for research—it takes an average of 7-10 years to get a diagnosis. It is a systematic inflammatory disease that can impact any part of the body, and severely reduce quality of life. Funds raised will go a long way toward improving care and finding answers for people with endometriosis.
People with endometriosis are called warriors for a reason. Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 people in Canada and is multi-organ disease. It can be extremely painful and affects work, family and social life. There is no cure. The patient experience is often plagued by delays in diagnosis, stigma, misinformation, complex chronic pain and a long journey to effective treatment.
In 2020 the BC Women’s Health Foundation released as report called The Research Divide, which highlighted what we all know to be true. Women’s health research is funded less often, for shorter terms, and for lower funding amounts. For endometriosis specifically it is even more dismal.Â

Candle Care:
- Important: On the first burn of your new candle, let the wax melt right to the edge of the glass. Doing so will give you many more hours to enjoy your candle! This is because the wax pool you get on the first burn will be the wax pool you get every time you burn your candle. Â
- Burn on heat resistant surface
- Burn within sight
- Trim wick each time before re-lighting (nail clippers work well!)
